The excellent stuff: cordial front desk clerk, newly renovated clean room, comfortable bed, small couch big enough for two, plenty of room, easy to find, plenty of parking, the pool looked nice although I did not partake, and walking distance to several restaurants, bars, and a grocery store.
A few small but non problematic surprises: no Kleenex, the mini fridge did not have a freezer compartment, and there was no desk (I did have a bit of computer work to do).
Why I won't return: one of the guests was blasting his bass until 2 or 3 AM and the AC didn't work properly. The thermostat said 72 but the room was hot. No way it was less than 77. I turned the thermostat down to 70 and the display just said Wait. I tried turning the fan on but it just blew hot air. Eventually, maybe 15 min later, the AC came on, ran for a while, and shut off. So once I actually got to sleep, I would sleep for 20 min, wake up because I was hot, wait for my turn to get AC, fall back asleep, and wake up 20 min later because I was cold. Just couldn't get it dialed in.
