Great experience, staff is amazingly friendly, Helen is a great host. Breakfast is home made, fresh and generous, very flavourful. Our room was a bit small, it needed more closet space (it didn’t have any!), fridge could use some maintenance. Location is great for beach access, although very steep in the last segment, you absolutely need a bellboy for large pieces of luggage. Great overall value!

Hotel Pousada Aquarela is an underrated gem. Although the steep hill to reach the hotel made arrival challenging (initially no luggage help), staff went above and beyond throughout our visit, especially assisting with luggage upon departure. The accommodations were clean, modest, and charming, matched by genuinely exceptional service. Highly recommended for a memorable, comfortable stay.

Superior staff!

All of the staff is super nice. I don’t speak Portuguese, so they had to work a little harder. I had to work a couple days, but the WiFi was great upstairs and downstairs. I was able to do Teams video meetings. They have a good breakfast and afternoon tea.

Outstanding pousada on the Island

The stay at this pousada was outstanding. We were 5 nights there and had a double room with ocean view. The room itself was not too big but enough space to put our 2 pcs of luggage there and all very clean. Staff was very friendly and speaks good English. They also supported with several bookings and had great tips for us. Breakfast was good as well. The location is not directly in the middle of the center and therefore not many people passing by. Just Some nights we could hear the noise from the hostel at the end of the beach. We can highly recommend.

Notre chambre vue mer était super avec un grand balcon...le petit déjeuner est fait maison et copieux...et le personnel toujours serviable. Recomendo a pousada, ótimo custo benefício, bom café da manhã, perto da praia, tem uma subida pra chegar até à pousada e fica uns 10 minutos do centrinho, mas não tive nenhum problema quanto à isso, tem como ir pela praia que fica mais perto pra chegar ao centrinho, mas passa pela água se tiver de sandália ou tênis vai molhar. Equipe atenciosa, limpeza diária do quarto. Gostei da estadia.

Excellent rapport qualité-prix. L’emplacement est idéal, à quelques minutes à pied du ce centre, malgré une petite pente juste avant d’arriver. Le petit déjeuner est petit mais efficace (du salé dont des œufs brouillés, fruits, gâteau, boissons chaudes et froides). Le buffet de courtoisie disponible de 11h à 19h est très appréciable. Le personnel est de très bon conseil pour les excursions et plages à voir. Je recommande.
