The location is very good, a 3-minute walk to the bus terminal. There are bus routes to almost every place. It only takes 30 minutes to take Airport Direct 4 from the airport to the hotel, and it only takes three bus stops to get there. After getting off the bus, you can walk to the hotel in a few minutes. It is very convenient.

This is a great location in the pedestrian zone. The basic but comfortable room was clean and quiet. Two things to note; there is no traditional front desk. You enter through the Starbucks and have codes for the elevator and your room. This was not a problem for us. Also you cannot drink the water in the room. The water does smell sometimes giving the bathroom a peculiar odor. I don't know if this is a common thing in the old town. It was my first visit.

We had a very nice stay at the Melior. To help prevent confusion for others, you enter the Starbucks and just before the counter, there is a small desk and elevator. That is how you access the hotel. They send you a code for all the doors and elevator prior to arrival. The staff was very courteous and breakfast is provided daily by ordering online… all Starbucks items. They deliver to your room or you can have your breakfast is the Starbucks. The location is great with a short walk to the bus station and everything in Valletta easily accessible. We had no issues with noise even as the Carnival was occurring during our stay. The only downside is that I felt it could be cleaner, but I am very picky about cleanliness, so maybe it is just me. Otherwise great stay.

I had a leaking fridge when I arrived but that was dealt with by the second day. Otherwise, the room was spotless and perfect to my needs. You don't have much interaction with staff due to the way the hotel is accessed (it's within a Starbucks). The reception desk was never manned and the only staff I saw were the cleaners who were friendly, and a Starbucks staff member who showed me to my room on arrival.

Room was spacious and clean, I would have preferred a double but twin was fine and didn't interfere with my sleep. Bathroom was modern with a Rainfall ceiling mounted shower head. There was a Nespresso machine and fridge for making coffee and storing drinks and snacks. Located near the parliament building and a plethora of eateries and sights.

The main reason why one selects a hotel is the service. While the Melior is a nice hotel in a great location, the service is lacking. Reception is rarely manned (one day in five) and I found it impossible to contact them by phone, either by my phone or the internal landline. Apparently, Reservations do not work the weekends. To be uncontactable for nearly 30% of the time is unfathomable. This made checking in very hard.

Personnel courtois et chambre au top mais sans aucune vue. Toutefois les équipements sont parfaits! Seul bémol: l’accès aux chambres se fait par l’intérieur de Starbucks et il n’y a pas de salle de petit déjeuner. Celui ci est soit servi dans la chambre soit dans un.czfe voisin.
