Absolutely beautiful property all around. Tulum was my favorite part of the resort. I love that you can go to all of the resorts on campus, they all have a different vibe . Pending on what you are in the mood for you will find something nice. They absolutely need a better shuttle system as the campus is enormous and incredibly hot. They could definitely relax about the swimsuit bit (@ an all inclusive resort swimwear is appropriate for any and all activities. My opinion. ) . As far as the food goes here’s where it gets tricky. I hated most of it tbh. The best food is at the adults only locations (more oysters less chicken fingers blech) but even that wasn’t really satisfying. Most days I was slightly nauseous and couldn’t eat very much. I also have a slightly sensitive stomach . The food could still be a hell of a lot better. However all in all the strong drinks, dancing at the hacienda, and meeting friends like I was in white lotus ended up being the best part of the trip. If you’re looking to relax w gorgeous scenery and fun activities go here. One of my favorite things that they do is when they do outdoor dancing classes both by and in the pool. As a professionally trained dancer I was really shaking that thing! All in all a fabulous experience .

This hotel was nothing it compared to the pictures and room . The rooms smelled of mold and mildew, the air conditioning did not work properly, the food was either luke warm or cold( not enough options unfortunately) Every single restaurant was booked, so you’re forced to eat in the buffet . The lighting was poor at night , walking the paths to get to where you needed to go was a safety hazard.

I loved the gourmet meals available that are included but be sure to check in and book them 10 days in advance. The property was nice. Half of the staff are rude and customer service is lacking. My first full day I tried the swim up bar and the bartender ignored me but paid attention to any young women in bikinis and all men. Once I finally did get his attention he yelled at me and told me to be patient and that he wasn't a robot. I went to the other bar behind the swim up bar for the remainder of my stay. The Coba lobby burned down a week prior to my arrival and I did not find this out until I arrived. I was dropped off along with about 50 other people on the side of the road inside the resort and were told to wait with the security guard for check in location and instructions. It was around 12:00 pm so the sun was HOT and we all waited outside in the sun for an hour without water or adequate shade, then we were all told to walk to the check in area at the top of some stairs. Another hour later and I was told I could not check in until 3:00 pm because my room was not ready. We had to take trollies from Coba to Tulum resort for excursions and breakfast, trollies took so long I allowed an hour for my transit time though the resorts are very close. Would return for the food quality but I know to expect bad service and bad attitudes from staff.

It's our 4th time in Bahia Principe with kids and we always have a great time! Absolutely safe, great entertainment, good food, cleanliness everywhere was outstanding, and the service from the bell boys to the buffet and restaurant staff was remarkable. The kiddie water parks were amazing & love Akumal's beach , its like a pool! We can't wait to go back!

We stayed the week of May 24-may31 2025. This was my second time staying here. The first time was 4 years ago during Covid. We were kind of worried when we saw the news of a fire happening there a week before we were going, but they accommodated us by letting us enjoy the other resorts (tulum and akumul) on their property as well free of charge. This made our stay that much better. Everyone was so friendly and helpful across the whole property. I am a person who uses a walker and they were very accommodating; even with finding me a room on the ground floor. Beautiful resort! Also clean and well taken cared of. I loved seeing the little critters running around; especially the iguanas. (Pics added). Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Grand Coba from May 13 to 19, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for, especially as this was my first time visiting Mexico. During our stay, a fire incident occurred, which turned our vacation into a stressful and unsettling experience. There were no clear instructions provided during the emergency, and announcements were made only in Spanish, which many of us could not understand. This lack of communication during a critical situation was alarming and created confusion and fear among guests. While we were offered an incentive to use other resorts afterward, the process was disorganized and more of a hassle than a solution. Long lineups at the buffet were frustrating, with food often running out. To make matters worse, we had to travel between resorts just to access meals, which involved additional long waits for transportation. This was incredibly inconvenient and exhausting. On the first day, there was no Wi-Fi available, making it very difficult for us to communicate, especially since we were relying entirely on internet access to stay connected. When we sought help from staff, many seemed unsure of the situation or gave inconsistent information, which added to our frustration. Overall, the situation was poorly handled by the management. The lack.of communication, inadequate emergency plan, and the disruption of basic services significantly impacted our trip. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously.
