I stayed three nights in a standard room at The Mozart Prague, so this review reflects only that room type and my experience. I typically choose five-star hotels for the level of service and the sense that my valuables are secure, and this stay fell short of those expectations. When I arrived, the main door knob came off the first time I closed the door, and the in-room phone didn’t work, so I had to go to the front desk for assistance. I decided not to spend my trip pursuing more follow-ups.
The curbless bathroom looked sleek but drained poorly; water spread across the floor unless we aimed the showerhead tightly toward the wall. I couldn’t find a bathroom exhaust fan, so humidity built up and drifted into the room after showers and drifted into the bedroom, and we had to run the AC to bring it down. Because the bathroom door was off level, it would swing open automatically if I didn’t close it fully. The room itself was very small.
On the positive side, housekeeping was good, and the complimentary soda and beer were a nice touch. Although I’d seen reviews mentioning missing items during cleaning, nothing went missing during our stay. Overall, based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this property if you’re expecting a true five-star hotel.
