The hotel itself is well-kept, extremely convenient relative to the airport and the business I needed to conduct. Breakfast is well-presented and easy.
However, this time when I checked in, the staff member stated that there was a CHF 65 fee, as I now understand it for early check-in, but he would waive that fee if I scanned the QR code on top of the desk and give them a 5-Star rating immediately. I consider this "Ratings Extortion," extraordinarily unprofessional, and horrible Guest Experience.
I gave that rating, as bribed to do so, to avoid that fee...not because they deserved it. Note: extorting Guests to give great ratings in exchange for unreasonable and unwarranted favors is not a great way to sustain or grow a business.
