A truly unique and beautiful place to stay. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Carla gave us some great recommendations for both restaurants and bars … Madame Guilia was the standout for us. The breakfast is outstanding … so much choice and all beautifully presented. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

This was our favourite of all 5 properties we stayed in Puglia. The staff were wonderful, even before we arrived their service was incredibly attentive. They catered for my gluten free requirements more than anywhere else I've ever stayed. The cave room was gorgeous, all modern conveniences, but sympathetically designed to retain the old world charm. Beautiful property! The service was impeccable and the breakfast was spectacular. We were thinking of canceling our stay due to some logistical issues but we were so glad we decided to go and made it work. Matera was my favorite place to visit in Italy. It was hard to get to since the train station was closed but we traveled via Trinitalia link -speed train to Sorrento and bus from Sorrento to Matera but it was very efficient.
