Good location. Staff did not allow us to check into our room at 4pm, although our check in time was 4pm. When we went to our room, staff was still cleaning our room, even past 4pm. We then had to wait 30 minutes in the hallway for the room to inspected. Very unprofessional and untimely of them.

The property is quite tired. I had to move room because of a problem with broken fittings. Thankfully the staff upgraded my room, which was better. I'm not sure I'd stay again.

I had a wonderful stay! Check in/out was efficient, with the option to Room was clean and larger than most you would find in New York. I d I had a minor maintenance issue at the start but the Sonder team was very quick in responding and solving it.

Unique location if you love vibrant street life. Easy to walk towards Empire or other way to Washington park. You basically rent a room with no other hotel facilities. Virtual key chain did not work properly which was quite annoying. Room windows were dirty that gave uncomfortable feeling. The staff was not always present or came late.

the staff were very nice but check is was a hassle; codes did not work; when i went to request room cleaning first morning on line at 7am and it would not work they told me it had to be requested at check in; no one told me that; coffee machine spewed grinds, show dispenser pumps broken and with all the hard surface the room next door was too loud.

However the hotel is excellent if you're going alone or just with another friend. I can't recommend it enough. The hotel is located in an amazing and safe area. Unfortunately the check in process is not great. The room is small as expected but you could barely get into the bathroom with how the toilet is placed and the door doesn't swing open all the way. The floor in the bathroom was dirty, the shower drain had hair in it, the ceiling vent had dust on it that flew down when you turned it on and the bathroom vanity cabinet was broken and beat up. The room space is decent, but the bedding is really bad. It's a synthetic fiber comforter that has been washed so much that the fibers just clump into certain areas and should be thrown out. Definitely not what I expected.

The room was well kept and the toiletries were complete. The shower space is a little too small though but there was a lot of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel available. The dispenser pump of the shampoo was defective though. The staff were accommodating and quickly responded to requests for assistance such as cleaning arrangements. The online check-in and check-out experience was seamless and convenient. Generally, our experience was quite good.
