**The worst hotel experience we’ve ever had.** After falling asleep with the TV on—apparently a little louder than it should’ve been—we were **woken up at 3 AM by aggressive banging on the door** and told we were being kicked out. **No phone call. No warning. Just threats that they would call the cops.** We’ve been using Hotels.com for over 14 years and have *never* had an issue anywhere. The cops showed up and literally put us out on the street in Portland at 3 AM with **no explanation** and **no refund** for the second night we didn’t stay. The staff was extremely unpleasant and honestly looked like tweakers. Thankfully Hotels.com refunded us because we’re loyal customers, but the hotel itself refused to do anything. If you’re planning a night out, **stay far away from this place.** The walls are paper thin and the staff is hostile and unprofessional. A simple phone call to tell us the TV was loud would have solved the whole situation. It’s sad because the property *is* nice—we’ve stayed here multiple times for the same reason. But this experience was completely different, and after how we were treated, **we will never be back. I strongly recommend others reconsider staying here as well.**

Clean and spcious room. Free, good, and fresh coffee and tea whenever you want it was great. Free parking even better. Loved that rooms had a balcony with seating. Location was nice qnd safe and relatively close to everything. Breakfast was small but adequate. Would stay here again.

The shower head pipe was broken, the place was not the cleanest, the tv was super old, the heater was super loud and kept blowing cold air then hot then cold even though only heat was on. Carpet had stains. Tub was not clean.

The Inn at Northrup Station is my favorite hotel. My husband and I have stayed there many times. The rooms are spacious with great floor plans: two queen beds, kitchenettes, and couches. I love the imaginative decor. And the neighborhood is great--many restaurants and interesting shops. Plus close proximity to forested urban parks with miles of trails.

Decent price. Check in and check out was easy. Staff was friendly. Great location; close to streetcar stations and walking distance from food and shops. Streetcars are free with your stay! The hotel is kept clean. The room was cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed at. In the room, the kitchen appliances and kitchenware were up to date. I appreciate their complimentary hot coffee machine and salt water taffy in the lobby. Breakfast options were good for complimentary (cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cheese, oatmeal, granola bars). Only downfalls were that the floors are extremely creaky. Every morning I could hear the people walking around upstairs (very early). The pillows were too soft making it hard to get comfortable every night. Balcony didn’t have chairs.

We liked our staff at this hotel. It was great to have a kitchen as we were on a 10 day road trip and didn’t want to eat out every meal. The area felt safe and having parking was an added bonus. The person in room above us had very heavy foot steps but thankfully they weren’t up too late.

I I initially picked this hotel because of its proximity to Good Samaritan Hospital, but I ended up discovering wonderful restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Having the streetcar right there also encouraged exploration of Portland!

Northrup Station, a Unique Experience in NW PDX

Northrup Station is a sort of funky hotel in a great location--Northwest Portland, near the many shops, restaurants and other attractions of NW 21st and 23rd Avenues. And, as the name indicates, it is at the 21st avenue stop of the Portland light rail system, which is very convenient for getting around inner Portland. The rooms were very spacious and well appointed with comfortable chairs and a couch. A very nice breakfast is included but the coffee offered is NOT good. The hotel wears its funkiness and alternative nature proudly, but it is a bit run down, although very clear and well maintained. Free parking is another perk.

Everything was wonderful. My son and I loved the streetcar theme—and the near-constant presence of them just outside the front door! The neighborhood is leafy and full of restaurants. And maybe most importantly, the hotel has the best coffee I’ve ever had a hotel. Worth an extra star for that alone.

We were pleasantly surprised. It was like having a studio apartment with all the amenities. Kitchen, dishes, full size fridge, dishwasher, stove and oven. It’s in a nice area with lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Clean and quiet. Check in was easy and parking was very accessible. We definitely will be back

We had an amazing experience at the Inn at Northrup Station, here are some of our Pros: 1) Super friendly staff from start to end. Helpful with recommendations from transportations services around the area to local cuisines. 2) NS Tram stop outside hotel. We used the NS tram to visit Powell's book store, the Portland market, various breweries, and others. Safe and easy, it also saved us on parking fees. 3) Our room had kitchen a kitchen, great for families to reheat and store food. 4) Ample fruits and water in the lobby, saving us cost on water purchases and snacked on a variety of local fruits. Keeping our colons, fresh and easy. 5) Free breakfast, I must profess, I did not partake in the continental breakfast here. There are too many delicious eateries around the area that I had to save the real estate for. But it is great to have the option available. 6. Staff accommodated out late check out request until 1:00pm, giving us a leisure morning to get ready for our afternoon flight. Con (we had only ONE con): A) Parking is free, but parking is tight, On this crowded labor day weekend, we came back late and discovered no parking. Staff allowed us to park in the baggage unloading spot, which is nice. Be forewarned, if coming back late in the evening, parking may be an issue. Conclusion: We had a stupendous stay at the Inn at Northrup Station. From checkin to checkout, 5 stars services. We highly recommend this hotel. Happy adventure.

Funky and so cool!

Love, love, love! The decor is so fun. Room was spacious, clean and colorful. Best bed we’ve slept in during our two week 11 hotel trip. Nice breakfast. So glad we ended our Oregon adventure with such a nice place to stay!
