Very bad experience in L hotel

It was a very bad experience to stay in L hotel. I arrived the hotel in the autumn season, but there was a black fly in the room. The staff didn't agree to change another room for me. No restaurant in a 4 star hotel. The facility was very old. The local person said they will never recommend this hotel to tourist. I don't know why they can got 4.6 for the review.

Good Hotel

A cute, small, eclectic hotel with a friendly staff. Great location in Old Montreal. Close to several restaurants and shops to include Old Port that are within walking distance. The only complaint was the carpet was stained when you entered the room. They need to change it before they let another guest stay in that room.

Merci and au revoir…until next time!

My stay at L Hotel was nothing short of magical in this very charming city. All of the staff were warm, friendly, helpful and took an interest in me. As a solo woman traveler of a certain age, I felt exceptionally safe at the property and venturing to and from, even late at night. I loved capping off each night in the hotel wine bar…a lovely way to unwind, reflect on my day’s adventures and plan for the next day’s activities. I will definitely return to both the Old City, and to the L Hotel.

It’s an enjoyable funky hotel w amazing artwork that is so eclectic. My only issue: suitcases and stairs don’t mix. So if someone was always available or some type of luggage ramp was provide from the street leve all the better. And the bath towels are very small but the bathrobes were great. Total pleasant experience. Staff was wonderful

Overall, a lovely stay.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at the LHotel in Montreal. We had some trouble with the credit card machine on check-in and we’re told that they only take credit cards (not debit). But my debit card worked fine there eventually. The elevator button on our floor was not working so we had to take the stairs down every day until the last day or so. Breakfast was coffee/juice and croissants. The croissants were delicious, but I would’ve appreciated a decaf option. The decor is kind of a maximalist. Americana meets old movie buff. With the current political climate in the US I would’ve appreciated seeing less American flags after we came to a Canada to get away from all that. The staff was very kind and the person who cleaned our room was excellent. We also really appreciated the high-end bath products and the comfortable bed. They would benefit from redoing their hotel information books in the room, because policies like laundry services are no longer available since Covid five years ago. The location was great and we were able to walk to restaurants and public transportation fairly easily.

Nice hotel and great location

Great location, friendly staff, fresh coffee and croissants in the morning were a hit. The hotel is very nice but a bit tired looking, could use a refresh. The carpet in our room was really- really dirty .

Very cool, but could use some updating.

This is a really cool hotel. It is close to everything. We could walk around Old Montreal and to downtown without any issues. The artwork through is just amazing. And the croissants every morning were out of this world. However it could use a pretty major facelift. All of the carpet needs to be replaced. It just looks kind of rundown. But I would stay here again because it’s very kitschy which I love.

Great Hotel & Location

The hotel was really nice & the staff was very friendly as well as helpful. It was centrally located in old Montreal and the walk to see the sites as well as restaurants was very easy. We were concerned at first that we weren’t near anything but quickly found out that we were upon walking towards the river. And we were within a few blocks of the gorgeous Bank of Montreal as well as Notre-Dame Basilica, 2 must see sights.

Fun boutique hotel

The hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is fresh croissants and pain de chocolate, coffee and juice. The art and furniture are eclectic and fun- a wonderful art collection. The room was spacious and clean.
