Looked for a “cheap” Vegas hotel near UNLV for a quick weekend trip.
First room I got smelled liked cigarettes, like someone had been a long term guest there, everything smelled of old stale cigarettes. Walking down the hallway there were signs of “long term guests”. So I believe they do monthly rates and have low income monthly residents.
Made them move me to a different room in the Tower side, much better no smells. Cold A/C, bathroom was OK, shower door was broken. Plenty of towels at the pool area.
Not bashing them at all, but you get what you pay for, it’s outside the main strip, in a not so lovely area of Vegas, but I felt safe. It’s a 10-15min walk to the main strip. Never tried the restaurant on the grounds.
It’s affordable if you’re trying to budget your Vegas tri and save some money on the hotel.
