Good Accommodation for People Travelling with Dogs

I am grateful that this hotel offers dog-friendly accommodation with direct access to the outdoors on the lake side. The accommodation was just fine - comfy beds and pillows, clean bathroom etc. my only criticism is that the room smelled so overwhelmingly of some type of cleaner (I’m guessing) that I had to leave the sliding glas door open for over an hour, while roaming around outside and hoping not to get burgled! When I went back in it was bearable, but I did leave the door to the outside open about 6” for the night so I didn’t get a migraine from the smell. I also turned off the AC unit, and wondered if something in it had been dispensing into the air. I realize that not everyone is becoming super sensitive to odours of chemical cleaning products, but I believe more and more people are starting to experience this. I don’t know what the alternatives are - of course clients want clean accommodation while travelling. However, there might be some less odourific choices available! Thank you!

Aug 27/28 morning desk clerk was bar none. Her friendly personality shone through and she went out of her way to make people feel comfortable, telling them of different places to see and things to do in the area. Being there on my own she made me feel very comfortable at breakfast. 5 stars for her! My only complaint was the flies in the room, very pesky! All else was good.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the whole hotel was very clean. Front dest check-in and check-out staff was wonderful. The view from our room was breath taking and we also overlooked the marina and lake from our table during breakfast. We would definately stay again when we are in the area.

Unfortunately no soundproofing in rooms and dog barking in room next door plus doors slamming from 7am on. Curtains do not even come close to blocking out light. Hotel added on a 15$ fee after hotel booking for “breakfast” which was 5 slices of bread- no juices, no fruit, no muffins nothing else out at 845am. Definitely a budget hotel for a less than budget price.

Great Deal, Great location, Great service

Lovely hotel for our overnight stay for a wedding in Lincoln. It was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully located, overlooking the lake and just off the highway, close to the wineries. It was an amazing price and I would highly recommend it.

Great view

There was a funny smell on the lower level but they did have air fresheners in the hall that helped a lot and the room didn’t smell. The carrying everything down the stairs and back up was rough but it was in the description so we were aware. We had a lower level with a view of the lake and it was beautiful. Overall I would stay here again.

Standard hotel experience with pros and cons

Overall an average hotel experience. Typical amenities, clean and tidy room, comfy enough bed, AC, etc., as you'd expect from any hotel. We were impressed with the view - balcony right across from the lake with full view of the water and boats. No jacking up the price for a "lake view" room where you can barely see the water through the trees if you squint just right. This was beautiful! We were underwhelmed with the breakfast that was included. Very limited selection of items - toaster, bagels and bread, margarine, cream cheese, peanut butter (no jam...?), donuts, mini muffins, yogurt cups, a few fruits (maybe 10 apples and unripe peaches), tea, coffee, juice boxes. I walked past around 9:20 and the donuts were gone and there were only a handful of muffins, bagels, and bread left (breakfast was supposed to be available until 10 but there wasn't much left to pick from...) Other small issues: - Shower water randomly went hot or cold for a second at a time - I requested a crib when I booked and again when I checked in online, but got there and found out they had no cribs available. Good thing we didn't need the crib until the second night so it worked out ok. They did bring a crib while we were away that day so we did have one for the second night. But what was the point of booking it ahead then? - Wifi signs you out automatically after a few hours so you have to keep re-signing in - No pen and paper - no big deal, just thought that was a typical thing to have on the desk
