I booked five different hotels for our family trip—mostly well-known brands—through Hotels.com. This was the only property that told me I had to pay for parking because I booked via Hotels.com. The $20 fee isn’t outrageous, but the surprise charge left a bad taste, especially since the email disclosure arrived only after the cancellation window had closed. Transparent, upfront pricing matters, and this felt misleading compared to the other four hotels that didn’t tack on an extra parking fee. Btw, the property had no shortage of parking.
That said, the staff were helpful and genuinely friendly, and the property itself was nice. With clearer communication about fees before booking, this could have been a much better experience.
