Tired, noisy, expensive parking!

Tired Novotel at Stansted airport - access was okay, we arrived at 11.30 pm, tired and ready to hit the bed only the guy on reception kept us there for ages, despite us saying how tired we were and that we'd already paid!! Had to fork out an extra £15 for one night of parking - ridiculous. Our twin room was a bit tight on space although the shower was a decent size. Windows were nailed shut so no fresh air available. Noisy with the airplanes taking off the next morning, seemed to be no attempt to soundproof this airport hotel. Breakfast was decent, no porridge for my gluten free veggie friend, but she was okay with fruit and yoghurt. Highlight was the hashbrowns... All in all, wouldn't choose it again, would opt for somewhere else on our long trip north.

Ticks the box but you can hear the planes.

Ticks the box for a one night stay before an early morning flight. Although you can definitely hear the planes throughout the night and morning so not the quietest. Shuttle comes every 30 mins to and from the terminal and costs £4 which I personally think should be included with the room cost. Otherwise clean and comfortable

Great location and hotel shame about the parking

We had booked this hotel before flying from Stansted. The location is perfect for the airport. The room was well equipped- good value for money. The restaurant and bar were clean and the food looked good. The parking was an issue. We arrived at about 8pm and could had the drive around for ten minutes before finding a hedge we could park in. They obviously rent spaces for long stay parking. They charge £15 per night to park when staying there. This wasn’t clear when I booked and I had therefore not pre-booked. I was not prepared to pay the £15 for parking half on a grass verge, in a hedge. The receptionist was understanding and we did not pay to park on this occasion.

I was only checked in for a few hours to make an early morning flight. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The regular shuttle bus was perfect for my needs and made it easy to make it to my early morning flight

For 1 or 2 nights yes, not bad

It was okay. Not a bad stay . Food was good. Only complaint is that the shuttle to the airport left a couple of minutes early, so I almost missed my plane and the heavier set Caucasian guy with the glasses at the reception had a slight attitude. Also the hotel was pretty clean, except the bathroom the filthy bathroom pic. And there is very low water pressure in case you have to wash your hair.
