Focusing on the room, it had gone beyond ‘tired’. Lots of stains on carpet, room incredibly hot but air conditioning was loudest I’ve ever encountered. I stay in approximately 150 hotels a year and have done so for 10 years+. This was the rudest, longest, most inefficient check-in I’ve ever encountered. They insisted on taking a £50 deposit even though the restaurant was closed and it was nearly midnight. They don’t have a mini-bar and it’s not referenced on the Hotels.com page. They insisted it was ‘hotel policy’ despite not being able to show me where this was referenced. Like I say, it wasn’t tired, it was grubby and dirty and an affront to the Radisson brand who I’ve always enjoyed nothing but great hospitality. A never again experience, I’ve advised my colleagues never to visit and there’s honestly a dozen more suitable hotels within a mile radius. Comically, I’m supposed to receive VIP benefits through the Rewards Programme, it was no surprise that I didn’t receive the room upgrade or free drink I’m supposedly eligible for. Awful, awful, awful hotel.
