Check in did go well. When I got to the front desk the agent said the room had been double booked and she could not help as I booked through a third party and I needed to call Hotels.com ( she also said that's why we prefer booking direct) So when I got to my room I called Hotels.com directly. After over an hour I finally got a live customer service agent. He said I had to pay a service fee. I explained to him I booked the reservation on my cell phone and after checking my email I could not find it so I figured it did not go through and rebooked (arrived at the hotel about an hour later) He said that didn't matter and if I didn't a service fee would have to pay the full amount on both rooms. I told him this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a manager. He then said there's none available and they're just going to say the same thing. I then said I still wanted a call back from a MGR He said no one would call back. I then told him I was going to call my bank and put the second charge on hold. He said they would charge me an additional fee and I would have to pay the full amount on the 2 rooms. I called the bank, the agent listened to what happened and said that's not the way it works . The second charge is currently on hold and induspuite. I have been a hotel.com customer for many and never had just a problem . I would appreciate someone looking into this and getting back with me.
