Toilet not working

Our toilet would not flush properly. We called the front desk about the issue and they wanted us to come down to the desk and get a plunger to fix the problem. We asked if someone could fix the problem and that was the solution. When we asked about moving to another room, they wanted to have us pay an upcharge since there were no rooms left like ours, only an upgraded room. We refused and sat in disbelief that they were not willing to take care of a guest with this type of problem. They came up to plunge the toilet themselves, but the toilet still did not work properly. We saw another guest in the elevator with a plunger in his hands, so we were not the only ones experiencing this problem. We will never stay here again because of the poor management, not caring about the guests, and having to stay in a room with a non-functioning toilet.

Comfortable beds..very quiet. Staff were outstanding and friendly. Probably need to check the acoustics of the tvs. 131 had a buzz. Shower in 108 needed something to improve flow. Location very convenient to all amenities. We will be back.

The property is rather old and outdated. The room and bathroom were worn and tired looking. The staff was helpful and the location was good. Overall, fine for the price.

Horrible!!

I know we live in a capitalist country but paying almost 700 bucks for this dirt hole for 2 days just because it's move in week at Virginia Tech is absolutely criminal! The room stunk like a greesy turd, it was dated and falling apart, the rug was damp and the room was lit up like a strobe light when all the lights were turned off! Listen, for 80 to 100 bucks a night it's what you expect and I wouldn't be so hard on the review! But to gouge people like they did you have to at least be able to justify it a little bit.. And they really aren't close to justifying anything! If it's the only place left on the list and it's "normal rates" maybe you can get through it? Otherwise stay away! The location was good and the young lady at the front desk was nice! The breakfast was a joke so don't count that into your saved expenses.. You'll be eating breakfast out for sure.

The hair dryer went on fire when I turned it on. And it was uncomfortable in the parking lot. There were 3 cops in the back corner with a women. There were homeless hanging around. I was quite nervous leaving my car overnight. I have stayed there before and no issues. Need to have cops or some security take care of whatever is going on outside.

Stop Off on Trip to Washington DC

The breakfast bar was very minimal, no cooked or warm foods. Bed slept fine, a lot of room noise from others there during the night. I would say it was just an average room with no extra amenities. Clean but not extra clean. No real complaints other that breakfast was very disappointing. It served the purpose of our one night.

I expected a cozy hotel yes. But it felt like a doll house being soo extremely small. Felt like at a hotel in Europe. Hard to move around. Breakfast was terrible. Not even orange juice available. Location is nice though. Would definately not return.
