Don't understand the negative posts

I really don't understand the negative posts, but we have a pleasant experience staying here. We stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. The staff are really friendly, didn't charge us more than they should. Location is neat, there's a small Franpix at the corner, but a bigger Monoprix within a 10 min walk, right across from Lafayette. And close most of the sight-seeing spots. Wifi works ok. The only thing is the shower water. The water quality is different from where I come from, so better bring a conditional for hair. Uber price varys when it takes off to CDG airport from Paris, but taking RER B only takes a hour or so. Will stay again.

La chambre était propre et assez spacieuse pour 2 personnes. Très bonne literie. Petit bémol chauffage un peu élevé. Nous avons très bien été accueilli, personnel très gentil. Nous entendons un peu le métro mais nous sommes en plein cœur de la ville.

Dormir dans une chambre avec une forte odeur de cannabis pendant 2 jours c’est non. On a cherché l’origine de l’odeur impossible de trouver, ça ne venait pas de l’extérieur. Nous sommes allés nous plaindre 3 fois, sans possibilité de nous reloger. Aucun geste commercial n’a été fait, on a donc payé 270€ au total pour 2 nuit dans une chambre qui ressemblait + à un fumoir alors qu’aucun de nous ne fumait. Le seul geste commercial fut de nous offrir le dernier jour le petit déjeuner et "un geste la prochaine fois que nous allons venir" autant dire jamais. Je trouve ça inadmissible de n’avoir fait aucun geste sur la chambre, en étant professionnel on ne peut pas laisser des clients dormir dans une chambre avec une telle odeur, heureusement aucun de nous n’avait de problème respiratoire.

Our stay was quite disappointing. There was no lift in the hotel, and we had to carry our suitcases up narrow stairs by ourselves, which was really inconvenient. The staff weren’t very helpful and at times came across as quite demanding. Overall, it didn’t feel like a proper hotel experience, and we wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was very dirty; after cleaning, they barely swept the mess away. There was mold on the bathroom windows, stains on the curtains and walls. There was no bathtub lid for showering. Dirty sheets. There was a refrigerator in the room that didn't work, and when we opened it, it smelled like rotten fish. The price was very high for what they offered. The only good thing about the hotel is its location.

Overall, everything was ok. However, we stayed in the first room, which had a door that needed to be opened every time someone passed through, and it made quite a loud noise each time. Especially early in the morning, even before 7am. Apart from that, everything was fine. The location is nice, and the staff were very polite.

Hotel Renoir Paris

No one on reception when booking in,one morning trying to leave the key going out. and when trying to check out. The room was tired. The door key did not work on 2 occasions, The lift did not work on floor 5 on 2 occasions.There was no bar which was stated on the information. Hotel security was poor for the times the reception desk was unmanned.It was not a 3 star hotel. The rooms were serviced daily.
