Being able to stay in a Japanese traditional small home with ALL modern accessories in a totally walkable castle town without overwhelming crowds is something special. The staff is very accommodating, the included breakfast and optional dinner are excellent. And the several touristic sites, including two villas and gardens, as well as the castle are worth the visit.

Oki Room and Historic Vibe

This is a super cool hotel with a strong historical vibe. The Oki room had a private courtyard and spacious quarters. There are stairs from the entrance and bathroom to the sleeping area, which I mention in case any reader has difficulty with stairs. The staff was very helpful.

Unforgettable Traditional Japanese Stay

Fantastic experience of traditional Japanese lifestyle. It was the best service I've ever received during my many visits to Japan. The room tour was amazing, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A bonus was the excellent Club Lounge!

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in a renovated commercial property dating back to at least the first half of1900's, if not earlier. The rooms were very tastefully decorated, which gives it a distinctive Japanese feel, but with all modern amenities. The morning breakfast made from local, seasonal ingredients was del8cious and a great experience in itself. The staff were very friendly and dedicated, and the service was outstanding. All in all, a pleasant time. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely town. We stayed in a 2 level Japanese style house with a view of the castle. Very generous free mini bar and lounge with free tea, coffee and alcoholic and soft drinks. Food in the restaurant was top quality. We stayed in winter so the town probably wasn't at it's best but was still lovely to wander around. Stairs very steep in the room and a little precarious getting to the toilet at night. Lots of blower heaters kept everything warm but query environmental footprint. Overall a wonderful place.

옛날 저택을 개조하여 시설을 개설하여 시골 느낌과 조용한 시골의 정취를 느낄 수 있어 좋았으나 고택을 개조한 관계로 침실과 화장실이 2층과 1층에 분리되어 있고 화장실이 너무 추워 이용하기 불편했다. 겨울에 이용은 추천하지 않음

古民家での宿泊

古民家での宿泊を前から一度したいと思っていたので、満足しています。大洲の町には朽ち果てた家も多く、nipponia hotelがその一部を改修し、雇用も確保している点も立派だと思いました。今回は朝食が遠い所までいかなければならないと聞き、素泊まりとしました。近くにコンビニもあり、二泊の期間では不自由ありませんでした。別に不満足な点はありませんでしたが、足が不自由な方だと二階に上がる階段の幅が狭く、そのタイプは避けられたほうが良いでしょう。

素敵な日本のお部屋

メゾネットタイプのお部屋でした。お風呂も広くて、部屋も広くて、びっくりしました。敷地内も庭園ぽくなっていて、景色も最高です。ラウンジでお酒飲み放題でした。もちろん接客も最高です。お酒好きは特にお勧めします。
