The room was characterized by the fact that it has been a long time since it has been renovated, and that it could use a very thorough cleaning. As for shopping, the hotel is located out in a dark forest with almost no street lights and 3 km. away from a grocery store, so if you are not in a car, you are dependent on ordering something with delivery. The bus that has a stop in front of the hotel only runs Monday to Friday. It is also true that there is a train stop about 10 min. drive away, but no taxi companies will drive out to drive from the train stop to the hotel and vice versa, so it costs about 45 Euro to take a taxi per trip, as they will only drive from Lübeck Central Station to the hotel and vice versa. As for the staff, they speak limited English (the ones we talked to), and as for the fact that they will help with bookings, we experienced that when we asked for help to call a taxi, we were only given a phone number, but that we had to call ourselves, and we therefore ended up using Uber to book, as the phone signal and the 5G WiFi signal was extremely bad.
If we had known in advance that we would have the experience that we had with the hotel, then we would not have booked with them.
