The trip to The Gantry didn't exactly go well... on check-in they had no record of our reservation (despite it being fully confirmed and pre-paid). After *three* attempts to email the front desk a copy of my confirmation, they finally got us on the system - and then said they didn't have the room we booked!
They tried to substitute for an accessible room, that was a no-go for us, so my wife and I ended up with twin beds for the two nights.
The apology was a couple of "free drinks". When we tried to redeem these on our last day, we found out *after* ordering and drinking our drinks, that there are restrictions on the free drinks - so even that meager thank-you backfired and went in the bin.
The main feature of the property, STK on the rooftop was also closed for a private function one of the days (we were not made aware in advance) so we missed getting to experience that.
On check-out we left our bags for a few hours, then when we came back to validate our parking - more messing about as apparently we had to do that at checkout (again we were not told this).
To add to the 'ambiance' of the stay - one of the lifts was badly damaged, but left in service and made the most lovely screeching noise every time the door operated!
Not really 4* there.
