I usually give grace when things go wrong — but after two separate stays with two completely unacceptable experiences, I have to say something.
Last time, two women walked into my room while I was in bed around 10:30pm. The front desk said I “wasn’t checked in properly.” Alarming, but I let it go.
This time? Somehow worse.
I woke up for class — no hot water. The front desk suggested the handle might be reversed (already tried that). They said maintenance would handle it. Spoiler: they didn’t.
I got back that afternoon to cold water and a still-clogged tub. There was a plunger by the toilet, so I gave it a shot. What came out? A nightmare hairball — complete with what looked like pubes.
The young guy at the desk offered a plastic bag to clean it up. I asked for gloves — he had to call his manager to find some. No other rooms were available. Maintenance? “Tomorrow.”
Oh, and a millipede had been crawling around the room all day.
I check out tomorrow, so I’ll be enjoying one last cold shower while trying not to think about the bugs or the clump of DNA that was clogging the drain.
I don’t get paid enough to deal with this mess.
Oh wait — I paid to stay here.
Absolutely unacceptable. Photos attached.
