The room itself is fine, but I encountered issues with the water temperature fluctuating in the shower. It's very difficult to control, especially during the winter season. Additionally, the location of the hotel is not very convenient for traveling in Bath, even if you have a car. (The center of Bath is always prone to traffic jams.) Overall, I believe the value of this selection is not good.

The spa and the availability of both the indoor and outdoor pools was great! A slight shame about one of the saunas being closed for repair, but the other one was good too. The staff were incredible and very helpful!

Definately NOT a 5 star hotel. Rooms in massive need of updating, and the spa also. The Spa when we went was very messy, paper cups and peoples slippers/robes on floor scattered about. Looks like in need to some TLC. Visited Bath many a time and far nicer places to stay in my opinion, especially for the price. Building is beautiful, breakfast was as expected, check in fine, staff lovely, location ok 10 min walk into centre - just desperately needs some updating.

Excellent stay .. I cannot understand some of the negative comments I read on Bath Spa. Excellent front of house and housekeeping. Great Breakfasts and Spa Experience - Property and room also great, with plenty of parking. Book you wont be disappointed.

Took 4 attempts to get non feather pillows then breakfast the next morning took 25 minutes to get pot of tea and was even asked after 20 minutes what coffee had we wanted. I had to go and ask staff after 10 minutes of sitting at the table to order our breakfast which then took another 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Then breakfast came out after 1/2 hour but was missing items. Then when checking out reception staff person was extremely rude when my wife put card in the glass bowl which was whipped out and we were told that was the apple bowl. Bathroom in room was very worn and tired. While the location was great and room spacious and comfortable beds we felt that the very poor service let the whole break away down especially with the cost of the 2 night stay was over priced and disproportionate for the quality of the hotel. Will definitely not be staying again after such a disappointing stay.

Hotel has great character and presence. Getting a tad tired overall but remains our Bath hotel of choice for location, spacious rooms and spa facilities, especially the outdoor spa pool which is most relaxing. Easy parking, healthy and pleasant walk in Bath and local restaurants have choices for all tastes.

First time staying at this hotel after 10years and it’s a huge decline from back then. No longer a 5star hotel more a 3.5/4star. The front desk staff (Rory L’estrange) was terrible - lacking any customer service skills or warmth. Breakfast was slow and limited options, quality again a huge decline.

An amazing hotel from start to finish. The staff cant be more friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and fresh looking with robes and slippers provided. A bottle of water is also provided on arrival alongside biscuits, teas and coffees. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Bath main town is a short walk away (15 / 20 mins) but be aware that there is a steep hill returning back to the hotel if walking that might be a challege for those less mobile. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Expected more from a 5* hotel. Sofa bed wasn't made so we had to ring reception for spare pillows and duvet. It was quickly sorted but we felt like our son wasn't accounted for. The spare bed was very uncomfortable and you could feel every spring underneath. Aircon wasn't working so we weren't able to adjust the temperature, our bedroom was freezing in the morning!
