I was expecting more with a Wyndam branded hotel. However I should have known better with the budget price.
The Pros:
1) easy check-in and friendly enough clerk who made the overall process take less than 5 mins.
2) Relatively clean room with reasonable amenities.
3) Decent well-lit parking lot with a couple of alternate breakfast options nearby.
The Cons:
1) No elevator for a 2 story complex, so if you have any physical issues ask for the 1st floor.
2) Old & outdated furniture - my room had a night stand that I needed to place an object under to help the drawer stay closed, otherwise it wouldn't stay shut.
3) AC/Heat unit in room had control button ripped off, rendering it useless. Thank goodness the weather was decent and the sliding window was an option. But that felt like a workout to open and close.
4) The bed was just ok, the mattress sat on a top frame that was part long spines & springs, making for a rather hard sleeping experience.
Also word to the wise, the north side facing rooms get all the noise from the considerably busy street that this location sits at. Expect racers, ambulances and a lot of traffic sounds at all times of the night.
My overall rating out of 10 for this hotel would be a 5. When in Phoenix again I'll opt to spend a few more bucks for a better quality stay.
