I booked 3 rooms through Expedia. We arrived late at night, due to travelling. When we got to our rooms the 1st complaint was the horrific smelling rooms. A mixture of dirty dog, cigarettes & mouse urine. The rooms were disgusting! All 3 bathrooms were filthy. We did not even use the showers. All 3 had dark, reddish brown smeared stains from top to bottom. It looked like the shower scene from Psycho had happened in there. Not a joke. All 3 ceilings of the bathrooms had a lot of black mold/mildew. My room had large chunks of missing plaster from the ceiling & the tv did not work. Due to the late hour and the fact that I had already paid, we had to sleep there. It was so filthy that I slept with the lights on hoping that would deter animal/bug life from running around. At check-out, I politely explained the room situation to the front desk employee & she just stared at me. No apology or offer to remedy the situation. So, I asked for a manager. She said the manager was not on site. I said that didn't seem right and asked again to see the manager. She refused. Still no apology. Finally, I told her that I felt there should be a refund due to the filthy conditions of the room. She said they don't do that there, because I booked through Expedia. She said to go to them for a refund. I told her that Expedia is not in charge of cleaning their hotel rooms. She just shrugged her shoulders and stared at me till I left. I will NEVER stay at another Baymont hotel again. ZERO rating
