Hotel is historic and beautifuI, loved the look and vibe of the whole property. I was disappointed to have a room on the 3rd floor, not only was there no view, the windows were frosted to obscure roof right outside. Besides the lack of natural light, the room was comfortable and quiet. Bathroom had beautiful deep tub and great shower, needs hooks installed for hanging robe/clothing. Lounging at the pool, reading & swimming was a highlight and pool was perfect temp. Pool staff not super attentive. At check-in the desk staff did not share any orientation info about hotel with me and also did not activate my room key, so I had to come back down to the desk - she didn’t apologize or acknowledge her error which I found surprising and unprofessional. On the second night we found a dental flosser underneath the covers of a freshly made bed - staff acknowledged this shouldn’t have happened but offered nothing to make up for this extremely gross situation. I’m glad I stayed at the Roosevelt once. It was a splurge for me and I expected an overall better experience for what I paid. I doubt I will stay here again.
