Lovely hotel , Great welcome and care all through

Everything was perfect about the Banks Mansion. The rooms are cozy, but that’s normal for many European cities. The staff were amazing, so helpful and pleasant. The hotel is so clean. Love the open bar where you could meet up with other travelers and share the days adventures. We would definitely book this hotel again.

We had a great time at Banks. From the get go, front desk staff were VERY friendly and helpful (thank you Laura). The location cannot be beat. The daily snacks, wine and breakfast were served spectacular. The breakfast guy and the lady there were very nice and welcoming. All around we had a fantastic time mainly thanks to the people who made it super nice.

I liked the staff attitude they were all excellent and customer focused. The seating area could do with a refresh in the main lobby, but that said, it was lovely to sit and relax there in the evenings. Plenty of drinks on tap, and lots of snacks plus a daily cheeseboard was very welcome. The mini bar needs a bit more consideration in terms of what is placed in there, and milk should be available in every room to complement the coffee machines.

One of the worst hotel disappointments of my life. Considering the price, stars and description of boutique, I had high expectations. But it was old in need of renovation. The all-inclusive wine and cheese had the disadvantage that it was not possible to order a good glass of wine nor a cocktail. It was only help yourself to cheaper alternatives. The room was okay size, but they had big chairs and tables inside so there was no space for two suitcases. I had booked separate beds, but that was not available. Not worth paying for a canal view. The location is excellent. Breakfast was really good, but there was a smell of fried eggs in the whole hotel each morning. An average 3-star hotel in need of renovation.

Great small hotel with attentive and helpful staff. We visited over Mother’s Day Sitting area off the lobby has a nicely stocked self-service bar as well as a rotating offering of nibbles every day. Breakfast was very good-especially the omelets.

Good central location. Pleasant staff. Terrible breakfast with a limited choice, and the live-cooking only consists of omelettes, fried/scrambled eggs, or pancakes. Their website advertises the fact that if you don't see what you want, just ask, but if you ask for anything else (poached eggs) they refuse. Their website shows breakfast sandwiches with ham, lettuce, tomato and egg, but they are not available either. We enjoyed the wine (available after 4pm) however we're not fans of cheese so didn't partake in the cheese trolley or the 'snacks' which were either boiled sweets or dark chocolates. Dutch cookies were OK. Couldn't make mojitos as there were no limes available although there was mint. Our room was supposed to have bluetooth speakers but when we asked at reception for the PIN we were told that there were no speakers. After the holiday we found out that we had been misadvised and they should have just given us the PIN. All in all, an OK hotel in a good location, but it in no way does it live up to the hype of "everything included, and if you don't see what you'd like, just ask". We won't be returning here.

Loved it!!

We stopped in Amsterdam for a few days out of a 5-week trip, and this was the best hotel we stayed in!! They are not kidding when they say they are full service. We had food and drinks available at all times. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area.

Inclusive breakfast, bar and mini-bar was excellent. Breakfast team and front desk team were welcoming and efficient. Everything was well stocked and tasteful. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again
