I had a wonderful experience at Casa of Essence. I stayed in the Economy Room, which is perfect for one or two guests. The host was always available and responsive to my concerns, which I really appreciated. Everything was within walking distance, making it very convenient. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Puerto Rico for a few days, and I would definitely return here in the future.

Property was great! Room was very clean and stocked! Only issue I had was the mosquitos. Word of advice, just get some bug spray or the bracelets. Will definitely book again. Parking can be difficult on the strip but there are parking lots a short walk away and very cheap. You can sightsee or shop on the way. Overall, beautiful place.

I had a great stay at Casa of Essence. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making early check in easy. The property was very clean, both in the rooms and in the common areas, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location couldn’t be better — it’s close to almost everything in Old San Juan, so we were able to walk to restaurants, shops, historic sites, and the waterfront without needing transportation. Overall, Casa of Essence provided a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the city, and I’d happily stay here again.

When the reservation was made, we expected the room designated would match the reservation photos. This was not the case. We were given a small room where we needed to ask for toiletries. There was a significant decrease in water pressure for showering, flushing etc. by the end of our stay. The property was being painted during the day and we had to be extremely careful not to touch the elevator interior to avoid getting paint on our luggage. The elevator would not reach even to the floor and you had to step up.

Family stay.

We had an amazing time. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The bathroom and shower were clean. We did see a couple bugs, but I do understand we’re on a tropical island. They were tiny and not very overwhelming. It was great to have an air conditioning type unit in each area. It’s a great location everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this to anybody going to Puerto Rico. One little sidenote, my daughter absolutely loved the ice cream shop across the street. And the convenience store on the corner had just about anything we needed.

Roach and Termite Infested: 3rd for apartment

Unacceptable conditions. The Crystal Room in floor 3 was infested with roaches, mildew in shower curtains, the entire property smells like mold, we were swarmed by termites all over the apartment on the last night, poor sleep, dried snot in bathroom walls, tight bathroom space, no good warm water, electrical system attached to shower head, small baby roaches all over kitchen utensils and pots. Needs fumigation, wall repairs, mold mitigation and better decor.

I stayed in the patio room, included a mini fridge a microwave, private bathroom, TV, and wifi. Very convinent location, walking distance to most Old San Juan attractions. Beach towels and bath towels are provided.
