Horrible experience stay

First of all we missed the sign Comfort Inn because it was blocked by lots of trees in the front of the hotel. Then when I told the staff about the sign which I had missed when checking in, she said nobody complained that in the past, which makes me feel I was blind or something. Basically she didn’t apologize or say anything nice but I felt that she blamed on us. Secondly, when I walked in the room, there was this really horrible odor smells that made me sick to my stomach, which I had never experienced in my life. We tried to spray with febreeze or even this expensive perfume in the room, but it didn’t work at all. As we stay in the room for a period of time, our sense got used to it and we knew we would be stuck in that room for a few days for our stay. However, if we leave the room and come back even for a few minutes the bad odor comes right back. The room was way too small for a two queen beds with no space to put anything and anywhere. The bathroom sink was so small that I couldn’t even put my cosmetic bag on the side. The lighting was so dim which makes the room looked dark all the times especially at night because I had to close the curtains. Overall, we were not happy at all during our stay. In my opinion, I think the entire hotel needs to be renovated based on our experience because it was so old and filthy especially the soaked carpets inside the room. So if you want your guests to come back in the near future, remodeling the whole entire hotel is crucial.

Taxed to death

Hôtel is on a good location but is showing its wear. I was impressed with breakfast but I was not impressed with the extra tax! There was an additional $7.72 added as Collingwood tax which I totally disagree with.

Comfort Inn Collingwood

This is a nice inn to stay with the family if you do not want to pay blue mountain rates per night. It is a 13 min drive to blue mountain from there which is perfect. The staff were friendly and served us well. The breakfast offered was pretty good, my only critique is that the dining room space is small and cannot fully accommodate the guests that stay there on the weekend, especially if it is a long weekend. Also there are tongs and gloves provided to self serve the food, but staff are not monitoring the guests usage of those safety items when handling food, so many guests are using their hands instead of the serving utensils, which is not good. The room was spacious, we were a family of five people and it was a good size. The bathroom could have been upgraded a little more and more towels provided. The fireplace lounge area had couches that were pealing, but overall a good stay.
