The staff were very friendly, and the location is dreamy – Seahouses is a charming seaside town with a lively main street, easy access to pubs, and the inn’s restaurant has a genuinely lovely view of the sea.
Unfortunately, the room experience was very disappointing. Our room (39) was cramped, with stuffy air and no real comfort. Instead of the second double/sofa bed described, we were given a bunk bed – not at all what we expected, and a very unpleasant surprise. To make things worse, the room was at street level, looking out directly onto an unattractive parking lot and intersection, rather than the sea view we had hoped for.
For the price and reputation, I expected much more. While the staff and location deserve praise, the accommodation itself fell far below expectations.
