This is lovely hotel, good food set in stunning grounds. Not a lot not to like !

Rooms are nice, with great facilities in room and also on site. Restaurant has great food. However there is an inherent problem with the WiFi connectivity at this location and being in a valley the mobile signal is none existent in rooms also. For those travelling for business like myself, and working with confidential data, connecting to a hotspot in a bar is less than ideal. With no mobile signal in rooms is borderline dangerous as you are uncontactable should any emergency occur. It’s my 3rd or 4th time staying and only once has the WiFi been working properly, so don’t be led to believe it’s a temporary or one off issue upon arrival. It’s such a shame as it’s a fantastic location and should the WiFi be sorted, would stay there more often.

The broken Wi-Fi and mobile signal on site cause a lot of problems for me. The only working Wi-Fi was in the bar area and was shared with the card machines which caused problems with taking payments

Lovely staff and quaint hotel; narrow staircase

I accidently went to the Minster Mill hotel but, as they are opposite each other and are sister hotels, the receptionist found my booking and directed me. Be aware the road to the hotel is very narrow - but it is a one-way street and takes you back onto the road you left (like a crescent) when you leave.

Beautiful hotel, by the river.

Dreadful weather so helpful check in staff relocated my room close to reception. The original room was overlooking the river so upgrade was unnecesary! Restaurant menu was great, thoroughly enjoyed dining in the evening.

The first time ever we left a weekend break a day early. The room was unbearable. So hot even with heating off and windows open. Very noisy it felt like we were sleeping in a boiler room. The bed was uncomfortable we had to ask for extra pillows to fill the gap between the bed and mattress as the pillows disappeared down the gap during the night. The sheets rustled like a crisp packet. The hotel had no WiFi which reception made out was a temporary problem but had a sign printed and framed! After reading previous reviews this is a longer term problem. This was not a 4 star hotel as advertised.

A lovely 14th century coach house with all the quaint and eccentric things that come with it.

This is far from a 5 star hotel! Not sure who or how they got that rating. The rooms and corridors were not clean. Heavy dirt and cobwebs all over fans and room corners. We realize this is a 600+ year old hotel but the linens, drapes and fabric decor are in dire need of updating. The staff was not warm and friendly here either relative to all of the other hotels we stayed at during our 2 week UK visit. Very disappointed since this was our last night in England.

Beautiful setting, great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Reception staff extremely friendly and helpful

Came for a birthday get away! The hotel itself is lovely lots of different walks and plenty to see. Only downfalls were when we arrived to check in the room may not have been ready yet as the door was already open and there was no slippers or marshmallows on the first night.
Georgina, 2-night trip

Non existent customer service. No wifi at all during the stay, room lacked basic amenities, only toiletries provided in the room were shower gel and shampoo, 1 roll of toilet paper. Room needed some basic maintenance as wallpaper was cracking as well as the ceiling paint. we had a broken light switch, reported to front desk and no one was sent to fix it. My partner called ahead of time as we got engaged the day we checked in and was assured they would set special something up in our room. They did not accommodate this request, he spoke to concierge about this and the lady could not have cared less. A real shame as the grounds are absolutely beautiful and the bar staff were lovely, however the maintained rooms and poor customer service/ lack of care was a real turn off and a disappointing stay as a result.

Perfect quiet family getaway

We had an amazing stay at Minster Mill! The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating and made our stay especially enjoyable. We visited with our three young sons and they loved exploring the grounds and playing outside. It was a beautiful property and very welcoming to our family.

Excellent all round - beautiful hotel, lovely surroundings, great food
Maddie, 2-night trip

On the positive side, the hotel is a pleasant setting. However, the check-in process was slow and not very informative. The internet wasn’t working anywhere in the hotel, and with no mobile signal available, we were unable to communicate with our family. The room also had several cobwebs, many within easy reach, which made us question how thoroughly it had been cleaned. Just after midnight, we were woken by drunk guests returning to the room next door, and the noise continued for some time. We visited the bar and restaurant, but they also fell short of expectations. The staff were friendly and hardworking, but service was quite slow, particularly for drinks; on one occasion, it took 30 minutes to receive a drink. There appeared to be a lack of organisation, with staff needing to go across the road to the pub to collect condiments and drinks. Of the two meals we ordered, the steak was fine, but the cod was unfortunately quite poor, it certainly wasn't fresh. Additionally, several drinks listed on the menu were unavailable. Upon checking out we were not asked how our stay was and if everything had been okay.

Exceptional from start to finish

Absolutely stunning hotel in the Cotswolds, really picturesque location and great facilities in a super comfy and stylish room! Very attentive front of house and wait staff in the restaurant. Delicious well prepared food too! Highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Property is located in lovely scenic surroundings, on site food and drink options and good spa. However property is now dated in areas and needs some updating and additional staff numbers are needed

Was a lovely stay but some bits need sorting in the rooms. No bathroom light switches?!. Curtain broken in room. Tried to book a meal in the restaurant. They took my number to give me a call back but never did.. The grounds and buildings are stunning. Lovely walks around close by.

Lovely Stay

Amazing stay in a quiet little village about 20 minutes drive from Oxford, Burton on the water. 5 minute drive from Burford which is amazing and 5 minutes from Diddly Sqt. Farm and pub. The Swan pub opposite is so cosy.

The Hotel was lovely . But there was a wedding on the night of our stay and there was not enough staff . The bar was understaffed and waited for ages for drinks . The bar staff kept disappearing to the wedding . The bar kept running out of drinks and cocktail mixers .

The space and activities make it an easy choice for kids. My room was a bit dated but the restaurant and gardens were gorgeous.

Lovely setting, but

Lovely setting, room relatively clean, carpets had a lot of dirty stains, cobwebs in the roof, bad drain smell in the bathroom, walls very thin , could hear morning alarms from the room next door, also not aware of the hidden cost for using the small swimming pool ,
