Not so good

There was no phone number to hotel. Every number listed either just rang or was not a working number. They did not respond to me messaging them either I was trying to contact them to request early check in. So we just had to arrive in person and ask and was told no despite me being an IHG member. Then I wanted to pay the $50 deposit separately on a different card or even offered cash and they said no. The women working breakfast were extremely good. Comforters smelled. Good location for IU visit

This place is a dump!

This hotel is a dump! Floors where dirty like they havent been vacummed in days, and there was dry blood on the bathroom floor. I woke up this morning and stared at the ceiling and eww grossed, the dirt and cobwebs on the ceiling is disgusting.

Our second time here. The location is good. House keeping & some front desk staff are courteous and do prompt service. Bed & linens are fine. Good parking space. But the floors, furniture, carpet need cleaning & replaced. There were dead bugs in bathroom. Stains on carpets & old furnishings. Overall comfortable stay.

Spacious room wish for functional amenities

Staff was friendly. Room was not ready until after 5p. Mgr offered a drink and snack on the house. Bathroom smelled like a dirty cloth. Bathtub clogged and did not drain well. Cold water faucet worked but not well/ broken. Bar not open and restaurant only open for breakfast. Room was spacious and hotel conveniently located.

Wasn’t my favorite stay in Bloomington.

This stay was a little rough, but hoping some honest feedback helps. 3-night stay during move-in week. Room was expensive. Not one staff member smiled from check in to check out. Not one but two separate staff ladies chased me out of the breakfast room because I wouldn’t share my room number. Piles of dirty linens in hall on top of filthy carpet. Hair all over bathroom floor, and a/c didn’t work. Bed was pretty comfy to be fair. Hate to write this but trying to be honest.

Phones were down, dead bugs on the floor of the room, mold on the curtains, and gnats in the bathroom. Overall dirty and dated. Staff was very nice, but the condition of the hotel left a lot to be desired.

The room was horrible. The internet was spotty and we had no dish signal. The ceilings were peeling and had mold scattered across the peelings. The bathroom toilet leaked so it made the bathroom floor slippery. The tub didn’t have anything to grip to its bottom, which made it very slippery. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Really bad experience

Overall, our stay was disappointing. At check-in, we were informed that both the internet and TV weren’t working. Later that night, we discovered the toilet flush wasn’t functioning properly. I reported it to the front desk, and they said it would be fixed—but it wasn’t. In the morning, we found only decaf coffee pods in the room. We tried calling the front desk multiple times but got no answer. Later that evening, they mentioned the phones weren’t working either. We were initially told to speak with the manager about a possible discount, but when we did, she was unapologetic and claimed the internet was working, which wasn’t true. Our room was also not cleaned during our stay—unclear if housekeeping only operates every other day. Breakfast was underwhelming, and on the second day, it was only available by order, which took quite a while to be prepared. All in all, it was a frustrating and unsatisfactory experience.

Good stay but lacking a lot of modern amenities.

The hotel was clean which i appreciate but very dated. During our stay the satellite was out so tv was limitied to 1 channel. The hotel store didn't have diet coke. The bar was out of Captain Morgan and Bud Light. The pool however, was very clean and well kept.

Come for the sushi

The Holiday Inn Bloomington-University Area was not clean. There was hair in the bed as if the sheets had not been washed, and I found a piece of raw sushi salmon on the floor under the dresser. There was no water jug in the water cooler and there were crackers underneath the abdominal machine in the fitness room. There were no towels in the fitness room, and when I asked housekeeping for towels, I was told there weren't any. The woman I asked ended up giving me a body towel. She said there were towels by the pool, which was closed for maintenance.
