"The hotel staff is as always very friendly and helpful. The changes to the rooms favor looks to practicality. For me the bed is too low (it’s an age and mobility thing) and the wooden frame introduce unnecessary danger. The lack of closed clothes storage makes a 9-day stay fairly difficult. The changes to the restaurants looks good, but seating is impractical - at least next to the windows. Some of the old nice touches such as a bit of popcorn with drinks on the patio in the afternoon is sad and caused the hotel to loose some of its homely feel to commercial consistency. Having said that, the restaurant provides good quality at a decent price."
