"This was the hotel I was most excited about in Iceland and it did not disappoint. The location and property is beautiful. The hot tubs and sauna were such nice amenities. We had dinner at the restaurant on site which was beyond delicious. Our room was very comfortable with so many thoughtful little touches to make us feel right at home, especially enjoyed the towel warmer. I loved this place. "
"We had the most charming stay a the Lake Hotel Gistihusid in Eglisstadir. The room triple room felt like a full on apartment- it was spacious, modern, and cozy. We enjoyed access to the onsite Spa. The staff was responsive and friendly to all of our requests. Breakfast was a highlight- many options, with a lot of Icelandic influence. We dined at the restaurant for two evenings. We found the food delicious and very good value in comparison to other restaurant hotels we ate at in Iceland. Overall this was our best value stay in all of Iceland. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next tour of East Iceland."
"Room was clean and comfortable, heated nicely for arrival. Shower was hot and instructions for the cabin easy to understand. We arrived late and then waited to see the northern lights, which we did. A great view from the bedroom side window over the mountains. Definitely would come back here"

"Absolutely beautiful place to stay! We were at Stokksness a few years ago, before these rooms were built and the addition was put on the cafe. Back then, it was our favorite part of the trip so we were super excited to actually stay on site this time. It did not disappoint!"
