Forget high-rises and luaus – this is Hawaii stripped to its essence. The Molokaʻi Museum reveals island history through the restored RW Meyer Sugar Mill, where time seems permanently paused in 1885. Papohaku Beach stretches for three miles with hardly another soul in sight. Winter brings humpbacks so close to shore you can almost count their eyelashes. The mule ride down 1,700-foot sea cliffs to Kalaupapa National Historical Park offers both spectacular views and sobering history. Locals might direct you to Halawa Valley, where waterfalls cascade through ancient taro fields. Bring cash – credit cards remain optional in many spots, and the ATMs are few and far between.
"The staff were all so friendly and helpfull Just amazing group they have at the resort. The Maui Brewing company was a bit disapointing but there are options that i learned to go around them. "
"We had a great stay overall, mainly because of the excellent location and the friendly, helpful staff. The location truly makes a big difference and was the highlight of our visit.
A couple of small improvements would make the experience even better: having a washer and dryer instead of a large closet in the bathroom would be very convenient, and the bathroom latch could use replacement as it feels quite old.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would happily consider returning because of the location and service."
"I cannot say enough about this place. Please take the upgrade and book it for the ocean view. It’s absolutely stunning and absolutely worth it. The staff was amazing. They’re in checking in and everything is perfectly situated to get you food and still see the sites from the airport."
"Our 1 bedroom premium suite had everything that we needed to cook in the comfort of the room, it was very spacious, super clean, had all the stuff that we needed to take showers, the view from our room was amazing! The front desk was super nice, specially Juveeh, she went above and beyond for us. The outside of the hotel was super green, all the garden areas were super nice! They also had fresh coffee and tea in the mornings. They had several different board games to check out. Everything was just awesome! "
