"We love coming to Breckenridge to ride bikes and hike. Beaver Run is nostalgic for us but it hasn’t been updated since we started coming years ago. It’s fine for us but the walls are not sound proof & kids were screaming a lot next door. Luckily we love kids but we didn’t need to be woken up by them! To be fair our first jolt awake was by the 6:00 am old-fashioned alarm clock in our room that was set by someone previously. Please get rid of those so people use their alarms on their phones and consider adding soundproofing and refillable toiletries in the showers like the other resorts. We will still be back."
"I recently stayed at this hotel and I have to say, I was really impressed. Our room was spotless when we arrived, and it stayed that way the entire time we were there. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job.
One of the highlights for me was the outdoor patio. It had such a beautiful vibe, especially when the weather was nice. Just a heads up, though – it fills up pretty quickly, so if you’re planning to sit outside, make sure to get a reservation! Overall, our stay was really enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this place."
"This was definitely a different kind of stay for us. We're from out East where YMCA locations typically don’t come with resort-style lodging—this one felt more like a summer camp campus meets mountain retreat (in a good way).
We only stayed one night, in dorm-style housing, and while it wasn’t luxurious, the room was clean and tidy, and we slept well—even without A/C. The lack of air conditioning didn’t bother me, but my in-laws are used to more traditional hotel comforts, so it was a bit of an adjustment for them.
The grounds were beautiful, with mountains all around and a peaceful vibe, despite lots of teens playing sports on the lawn near the main lodge. The foyer area could’ve been cleaner, but the office and on-site store were great and well-run.
Overall, this place would be an awesome base for a longer stay with the kids. Tons of open space, outdoor activities, and a family-friendly atmosphere—just don’t expect hotel-style amenities. We’d gladly come back for a longer adventure."
"We were on a three week and your hotel by far met our expectations. We loved sitting on the upper patio to play cards in rhe fresh air surrounded by views of the mountains all around us. Friendly and helpful to find places for elk, food and Rocky Natl Park."
