"There was a laundry only around 10 min walk away. The washing machine automatically added the soap and fabric softener. It was only $3.00. The hotel was close to the train station, only around a 3 min walk. My room was very clean and nice and big. There was a small bar fridge and the breakfast was really nice as well. You had plenty to choose from. The hotel staff where all very nice and helpful. I was very happy with my stay there. Cheers"

"Très beau séjour dans ce Ryokan recommandé par Michelin. Personnel super serviable, accueillant et au devant de nos besoins, souriant, à l’aise en anglais. Onsen et bain public disponibles Excellent petit déjeuner, au choix: végétarien avec beaucoup de fruits, asiatique très bon ou western. Le western était ordinaire. Avantage majeur: à 350 m de la gare de Takayama! On a énormément aimé notre séjour! Merci à toute l’équipe "

"Lovely design hotel. Every detail was thoughtful and beautiful. Nice amenities. Excellent breakfast. Perfect jumping off point for the Nakasendo trail. (Unrelated to the hotel review but if you are traveling to Nakatsugawa for the first time, tip: book ahead at a restaurant/izakaya for dinner, there are plenty of nice places but many were fully reserved even in a quiet season for tourism) "

"Staff were the best. Absolutely treated the guests like royalty. The suite was fantastic with the open air onsen and wooden bath. The toilet was worth mentioning... Fully automatic. The dinner was above and beyond and so much food we could barely eat it all. So fantastic! Breakfast was the best there is. Only bad thing is we couldn't eat the 2nd morning because we had to catch a train and the breakfast is not until 7am. All else was superior. Nice store across the street with great deals 500 yen for big pack of face masks. The gift shop was fully stocked with all the souvenirs and gifts you could want. I absolutely will return to this town and this hotel. Side note don quijote is still being built so double check before you make the walk. "

"We have enjoyed very much our stay. The room is huge. There is a two in one washer and dryer in the room, very convenient. The complimentary drinks in the fridge are refillable every day with beer, coke, green tea, and sake. There is free access to hot spring at another hotel 10 mins walk away. "
