"Hyatt was kind enough to upgrade my parents room. My dad is in wheelchair and so they were able to give him bigger room. The service is always excellent. Their breakfast buffet is good. They have variety of food and some vegetarian options as well. They have both western breakfast and Indonesian breakfast. The hotel has beautiful view and it’s a bit away from the main city. So you feel like you’re far away from the business of the city. "

"Location is fantastic, right smack at Jl Malioboro, 10-min walk from the train station, 15-min walk to Mbah Satinem (you gotta eat her breakfast! truly good, not just for the sentimental reasons). We stayed for 5-nites and got a few check-out gifts, which I have never received from any hotels that I've stayed at (nada from Westin, Marriott, Hilton, Ritz, ever!). The only complaints are pricey foods/drinks at poolside areas. There are free-to-use bikes onsite. No issues encountered during the stay, happy with the services!"

"A grand old building in an excellent location, close to the railway station and Malioboro Street. And with a swimming pool, perfect for hot afternoons. The rooms were adequate but good value for the price I was paying for. However I did find some dirt on my pillow but I brushed it off. Also Western travellers should be warned that the are traditional Indonesian style bathrooms in the rooms. At least in my room, so a squat toilet with no toilet paper, or flush, and a cold shower. I didn't mind but others might. "

"Excellent room and services and excellent staff. Reception staff Tamara was very accommodative of our needs and she even arrange a car with driver for us for a 12 hour trip starting early morning. The staff at the restaurant and the roof top bar were excellent too and provided us our choice of food that were not in the menu. I highly recommend this hotel."

"The first room was infested by ants but we got moved to another. Not that much better and quite dirty. The pool area and garden was quite nice and the best thing is the location right a few mins from Malioboro street. We had an incident where passport disappeared then was mysteriously put back after we threatened to phone the pokice"

"The staff are friendly, the room is clean, but tired looking.I saw notification they are refurbishing the rooms. Location is great, within walking distance from Yogyakarta Tugu train station, about 10 to 12 minutes, and also about 20+ minutes to Keraton and the presidential palace. "
