"This was such a fun hotel! You could fish right on site and eat what you caught for dinner. The kaiseki was nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. "
"The hotel offers all night onsen bath, as well as complimentary ice popsicles and mini ice cream treats for you to enjoy after taking a bath (or not). Also provides complimentary soba noodles at 9:30 pm (last for maybe two hours) on 1/F. Excellent service overall and definitely will stay here again in the future."
"I booked a room with a view of the sea and it was definitely worth paying slightly more for it. The rooms are modern and comfortable with a sliding screen that can be used to separate the bed area from the rest of the room. Free coffee and tea available downstairs, plus water and instant coffee provided in the room daily. A breakfast plan does not seem to be available, so I bought breakfast in the local supermarket (a Lawsons is even closer). Higashiura bus terminal is on the other side of the road which makes for good travel connections (there is a taxi rank at the bus terminal and I also used Uber). Staff at the hotel were helpful and many spoke basic English. Higashiura is less busy than other areas of Japan with the sea, rice fields and the countryside nearby. Some streets have no or limited street lights - not really an issue as Japan is very safe, but be aware of traffic. Two things I’d like the hotel to improve 1) to use the wifi you seem to have to register with Marriot and the login process initially confused the VPN I use 2) to use the washer and dryers you have to download an app, let it connect to bluetooth, then pay by apple pay, credit card or some other payment methods - you can’t use coins as the slots have been taped up. Feels unnecessarily complex.
For luggage forwarding, I asked and if I understood correctly, they only support cash on delivery to the next destination.
In summary, a very nice hotel and I’d be more than happy to stay there again."
