Unassuming entrance to the hotel, but pleasant spacious rooms. Lift in service so easy to make your way out. A bit odd; the furniture are stylish and contemporary and yet there are no basic toiletry like hair and body wash. There is a 7-11 adjacent to the hotel.
Unfortunately our neighbour were having a full-on loud karaoke party. The walls are not soundproof at all so we could feel the vibrations of the bass. The staff went out of their way to politely remind them to lower their volume but it was a futile effort. Apologetically, they transferred us to a different room for the rest of our stay.
Lastly, had to take one star; there was a cockroach in the new room we transferred that I had the misfortune to kill with my slipper, and few smaller ones scuttling around the room and inside the clothes cupboard.
Overall, excellent service from the reception staff, stylish furniture, lost a star to a cockroach, and misfortune to share a floor with noisy neighbours. Like a bit of Alice in Wonderland. An interesting mix of good characters and unassuming villains.
