Like a small Ritz-Carlton, but better managed with an almost Asian level of service, which in my experience of luxury hotels worldwide over the last 40 years qualifies this property to be not just a 4 star, but closer to a 5 star, and certainly the best hotel on Hiltonhead Island (all the Marriott properties on HH are pretty mediocre, which is unfortunate for me, given I'm a loyal Bonvoy member). Staff is very well trained as used to be the case at Ritz-Carltons, but no generally longer, given I suppose how challenging it is to find qualified people. Polite and attentive service, good food, excellent housekeeping and beautiful super clean rooms and public areas, what else can you ask for?
