Disappointed. Happy to be inside the park but for the price i paid -highly disappointed! Not enough towels, no coffee supplies or cups for the coffee that was there, lamp beside the bed with nowhere to plug it, very very loud. Neighbors yelling and you could hear every conversation. Stains all over the entry...just run down other than the room itself.

Dated but Clean .Rustic but had comfortable bed. The place needs a face lift esp. for the price we paid per night. We had to Check-in by going across the street in another hotel to get our key.

Ruined our trip! Room not as pictured!

Don’t book here! We were excited to spend a couple of days there. So disappointed when we arrived upstairs to our room. No tv, no air conditioning, could not open window for cross ventilation, very small and claustrophobic room. We asked to upgrade, the staff was unsympathetic and said they would not help us as we booked through a third party. We decided that we could not stay, so we checked out right away. No refunds! Lost our money for 2 days. Ruined our trip, as we returned home. So disappointed!

Unacceptable

Pictures did not reveal that in order to get to the bathroom you had to go through one of the bedrooms. Felt like I was going downhill when going into the bathroom. The outside was dirty and had pain chipping and wood rotting. Also, the inside was not clean. Found a wad of hair next to couch. For the price some snacks or something would have been nice. And wash our dishes....really. Who knows how the last person washed. Gross.

Second worst hotel experience

Fridge has a leak made a noise all night. Fan made a noise so you couldn’t sleep. had to turn it off so it was so hot unless you wanted to keep windows open right onto the deck. Loud housekeeping in morning and guests right outside the door. and deck in serious need of repair. Definitely not worth the price they charge. Sorry but we never slept for two days.

Perfect adventure intermission

It was sooo comfortable and cozy. The pillows were made out of dreams. Soft, fluffy dreams. I love it when hotels have character.

Location is excellent! Easy walk into town and restaurants and sights in the park. Needs a little work in maintaining the building. Small rooms but have amenities like refrigerator/microwave. Excellent helpful staff across the street at the sister lodge

Needs improvements

The room had three maintenance items that stood out; The tile in front of the fireplace needs to be painted, the wall beside bed should be painted and the fridge freezer had 2 inches of ice buildup. All minor repairs that don’t take a lot of time but leave a negative impression of the hotel’s standard. Especially when they charge $400 a night.

Partial refund request

Dear Manager, We arrived in Crandall Mountain Lodge on June 16 just after 10pm, the office was closed. We found a key and a piece of paper showing unit #18, but the #18 door was not openable with that key. We called without answering and were left on the street for hours until we found that unit #2 was not locked, and the key we got also opened unit #2! We decided to stay in #2 as it was 2am in the morning already. To make our experience worse, we found people’s hair and yellow stains on the bedsheets, so we had to sleep that night with clothes on. because of the uncomfortable sleepiness night, we also had to cancel a nonrefundable tour the next day. We talked to the front dest in the morning, they agreed to refund us 25% of the hotel expenses but told us we have to ask Hotel.com or Expedia to call the hotel in order to get the refund. Given all the suffering, we would not accept 25%, but request to get the first night cost refunded.
