Stravithie Castle is like a wonderful step-back in time. The grounds are beautiful and it's a very peaceful, quiet place to stay. The proprietor, David, was very attentive and helpful and made us feel welcome. I would absolutely visit again if I return to Scotland and I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone!

Peaceful, clean and comfortable

Beautiful castle in the middle of a forest about 10 minute drive from the center of St Andrews (you will need a car or taxi if you stay here). Had a mini apartment that was enormous and spotless with huge sitting and bedroom with very comfortable bed. Manager/owner was very proactive/responsive, but be aware that I didn’t see anyone the entire weekend. Kitchen was stocked with many breakfast things and real coffee. Will absolutely be staying here again.
