Don’t stay, it’s horrible

This place ranks 2nd in my top three of worst places I have stayed. This is based on the condition, comfort and cost to stay. I really wish I’d not stayed, it was horrible.

Historic Area - Clean Room

Located in the center of Carentan across from the bahnhof, this hotel is easy to find. Parking is available in back or on the street. The room we stayed in #11, has no interior curtains. To have privacy, you close the outdoor shutters and lock them, the close the windows. No electric outlets in the bathroom or 2nd room where 2 single beds are located. Rooms are clean, bed was firm.

The actual hotel was closed and in a state of disrepair when we arrived. We had been moved to another hotel which did not feel at all legit. We left the city. Not a town to stay in. We returned to the quaintness of the countryside.

Best to avoid this hotel

First time using this app and this hotel has put me off i should have looked into it more prior to booking It was closed on our arrival and the man answering the door to us made us feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest, it was messy inside and out and did not eat there. The whole property had a smell and part of it looked derelict. We were told our key was in the door and thats all, nothing about dinner or breakfast, we went out to explore the town and returned to a locked hotel, not being given the code to enter, sadly i had to wake up a guest who kindly let us in no one answered the door bell, she told us the breakfast was in another hotel, im unsure why this hotel was full as i would never go back.

À part le confort du lit, tout le reste est Ă  fuir. L’ensemble est sale ltrĂšs vieillot humide WC pour nains de jardin. Salle de bain j’ai pas eu les cafards mais je les attendais . Plancher bois sous lino bancal, on se demande si on va pas passer Ă  travers
 Bon j’arrĂȘte de tirer sur l’ambulance, il faudrait une sĂ©rieuse rĂ©habilitation car mĂȘme les photos du site sont mensongĂšres ou alors pas rĂ©centes

Demande de remboursement.

Lors de notre rĂ©servation, personne ne nous a indiquĂ© que c'Ă©tait fermĂ© le jeudi. Donc, arrivĂ© sur les lieux, surprise, aucun accueil. AprĂšs quelques minutes, nous avons vu une banale feuille avec un numĂ©ro de tĂ©lĂ©phone Ă  joindre. Super aprĂšs les heures de route. Cette personne jointe nous indique les dĂ©marches Ă  suivre sans se dĂ©placer et surprise dĂ©jĂ  Ă  l'ouverture de la porte, la propretĂ©, inconnu dans l'hĂŽtel, puis nous sommes montĂ©s jusqu'Ă  la chambre. État pitoyable nous avons donc remis les clefs sur le lit et sommes partis. Nous avons avisĂ© l'office de tourisme, non surpris. Je demande remboursement de mes frais sans retour de votre part sous 15 jours, je ferai une procĂ©dure. Je suis correct j'attends.
