Loved the staff+room

All staff were very friendly. The room was very cozy and clean. Lots of restaurants near by, couldn't ask for a better location.

Hidden Gem in Portland

The Francis was such a lovely stay! We were able to get an early check in before rain settled in. We were immediately met by such a lovely hostess and greeted with hospitality. The room was lovely and very reasonably priced. Additionally, we stopped by the cocktail bar in the Longfellow Hotel (sister property) across the street for great drinks.

Lovely property with great service in Portland

What a lovely property! Even before I arrived, communication was clear about parking and check in (via text). Staff was pleasant and informative at the very speedy check-in. Parking was convenient right behind the hotel. Everything was bright and clean, comfortable and stylish in the lobby/sitting area. My room was on the garden level so a little dark, but I had a window to a courtyard, and it was spacious and spotless. Well appointed with mini bar and snacks, and a very comfy bed. Bathroom was ADA compliant (not needed for me, but clean, big & had all I needed). I was in Portland for a concert just a few minutes walk from the hotel and I'd highly recommend staying here. Commercial street is also walkable from here (20 min?)

Wonderful

antastic hotel and building. Room was well appointed and very comfortable. Staff were attentive and helpful. The included parking and breakfast coupons for Twinflower cafe were appreciated. Will be back!

Had a quick one night stay at The Francis and am so glad we landed there for our only night in Portland. Extremely clean, well decorated, lots of thoughtful touches and a perfect all around vibe! Bed was very comfortable and shower pressure was great! The staff was extremely nice/helpful. Very walkable area right on Congress next to so many cute dining places. If you’re looking for a well-appointed place on a great location with lots of charm, The Francis is it!

Altes Haus, stylisch gestaltet, gute Lage fußläufig zum Zentrum und zum Hafen und der Vorteil Parkplatz am Haus. Kleiner Nachteil kein Frühstück im Haus, es gibt einen 15 $ Gutschein für das Restaurant gegenüber, die leider erst ab 8.00 Uhr Frühstück anbieten. Alternativen auch zur früheren Zeit sind aber vorhanden.

Very clean hotel. Exceptionally clean bathroom and nice amenities. The only reason I didn’t give it an overall score of 5/excellent was because there was a lot of noise directly above my first floor room. I heard a lot of footsteps, something like a cart being rolled, and possibly boxes being moved. It was rather constant. It stopped around 11:30 pm. Maybe there’s an employee closet directly above room 003?? Other than this, I loved the hotel.

Don’t believe what you read

We were disappointed that what was advertised as “breakfast included” turned out to be a 30% off voucher for a neighborhood cafe. It is a shame to find a business that does not represent themselves honestly and does not respect their customers.
