A surprise find

If you are looking for a super clean, simple place to stay where the staff is very friendly and the views are fantastic, look no further than the Hali Country Hotel. We were very pleased with our two-night stay and really enjoyed the dinners we had at the restaurant. The continental breakfast was also very good.

The room was by far the most expensive on my week long trip to Iceland. However, it was the most basic - I get it: location. The bed was too soft and springy and the coffee machine didn’t work in the morning (when you need it!). On a positive note, the restaurant served some great food and service was good and friendly. Overall a middle-of-road experience

I love this hotel ! It’s quite simple, clean, confortable, not too expansive for iceland, and in a wonderful landscape, very quiet. The restaurant is also very good , with a few local food. I had a problem with my arrival due to a flight delay, but the staff was very helpful, Thank you ! It’s 10 minutes from Jokulsarlon.
