Beautiful exterior! Lovely fruit trees and small patio outside our door. Very nice front desk staff. Large room and very clean. Generous breakfast including warm sausages, hard boiled eggs, and a waffle maker. Little quirky things were wrong with the room. A light bulb was missing for one of the bedside lamps. No light switch near the door entrance. Overall a nice place I would stay at again.

I had to go and find the desk agent so I could checkin. And when I did he was dismissive and seemed to be put out. When I got to my ppm it was sweltering hot! There are no thermostats on the rooms, all controlled from the front desk. So I went down and had to find him yet again so he could turn the heat off. I don’t think he did because the room never cooled down even with the windows open. We’ve stayed here before and have always had a great experience. This has left us with a bit of a sour taste. The next time we’re in town for work we will stay again and hopefully things will be better. But alas if not…

I really wanted to like this place. The grounds were lovely. There were many fruit trees that added to the ambience. But I got into my room and it was freezing. I turned on the heat waited a while, but nothing. The front desk staff was helpful and offered a space heater or a different room. I chose a different room and it was nice and warm. Unfortunately I woke up early and it was freezing and I couldn’t get the heat to come back on. Eventually, it did warm up a bit. But I think you can’t control any of the temperature with the in room thermostats that was very disappointing as it was so cold outside it was not the cleanest place and there were ants in the bathroom and a stain on the towel. Again the front desk staff was nice and tried to help. I do think guest should know ahead of time that they cannot control the heat.

I cannot control the thermostat and it was freezing in the room.

I probably shouldn’t have looked, but I was trying to plug in the lights and happened to see this nasty gunk on the bed skirt.

First, I didn't understand that my room was inside another room so the room number the guy told me was not easy to find. I walked around the place at least 4 times and then asked what was going on. Attendant on duty was not very polite. Second, the lamps were not working so the attendant had to come in and move the bed to plug them in. Third,the tv only gets Christian channels which is very strange. I asked the attendant if that was the case and he said yes.

Although it was quiet and serene outside (from what I could see) the exterior was good. However, inside could have been much better. I had a room with a front porch area (2 chairs and a small table...it had a used ashtray with some cigarette butts in it). Inside the thermostat instructions stated to not tamper with it although the room temp never rose above 67 deg. and the heater was on. Neither of the bedside lamps worked...I finally discovered one wasn't plugged in and there was no outlet available. The other one was inoperable. The TV had no stations worth watching since most of them were old sitcom reruns. The bed although clean and well made up was hard and uncomfortable. I didn't complain because I'm not a complainer; I just dealt with it. On an up note: the room was clean and well supplied with towels, soap, shampoo etc.

Okay I checked in at 3 pm just like many people I did not check the condition of the room. I went out with family and friends, went I got back a bought 11:20 at night my room was 64 degrees went I tray to turn the heater on it wouldn’t work , then I call the office and they toll nothing they can do about it because they did not have any more rooms. My? Is why they don’t have technicians 24 /7 for this situation in November. That’s why I rate it 1 Then the TV wouldn’t work ether.

Room was clean. Staff are very nice. The grounds are amazing with citrus trees and flowers everywhere! The only issues were mosquitoes in our room, and dead flowers and fruit which if cleaned up would make this place amazing.

We booked on hotels.com. After a long flight we arrived and there was no record of our reservation. They said we could pay a higher price and try to sort it out in the morning. We ended up driving straight to Yosemite and camping just outside the park.
