I wanted to share a small note after our recent stay. We booked a dog-friendly room and were really looking forward to it, but honestly, I expected a bit more from a 4 star experience. There weren’t even any bowls or small touches prepared for our dog upon arrival, which was quite surprising given the room rate and the additional pet fee.
I’ve stayed at lower-rated hotels in Sweden that have gone above and beyond to welcome our four-legged friends, with treats, a bed, or even a simple welcome note. It makes such a difference. Maybe it’s worth taking a look at what other hotels are doing in this area, because dog owners truly appreciate when their pets are made to feel special too.
Overall, the stay was fine, but it could have been so much more. That’s the real shame, because the potential is definitely there.
