This hotel advertises as a “boutique” but it feels run down and nothing special. When we arrived, we were assaulted by the smell of Frebreeze cleaning product. There was a faint hint of garbage smell. The front desk felt run down and there’s no lobby seating, just a generic dining room for breakfast.
When we arrived in our room it was nice, it was clean, but smelled it smelled like dirty socks. It was very strong and very unpleasant.
We asked for a new room and I fortunately we were downgraded. The only reason I booked the room is that it had windows overlooking the street.
Instead of going thru the hassle of getting refunded the difference for the room, I opted for breakfasts for free. Breakfast was decent. Coffee mediocre.
The main desk person was very nice and helpful. The night guy was ok. Not rude but not high level hospitality either.
Overall, the hotel felt like a 2 star hotel and not worth the $270 a night I paid. But it’s in a great location, in the heart of the tourist area.
