We stayed at Motel One yesterday and were left dissatisfied with their customer care.
Upon arrival we attempted to check in only to be advised their systems were down. We had a tight turnaround with a dinner reservation which had left us about a 30 minute window to get into the room and get changed for dinner.
The staff were extremely discourteous and did not offer a drink while we waited for their systems to come back online. They claimed it wasn’t their fault, even though it clearly was and we were the ones inconvenienced. We were offered no discount or any proper apology as despite speaking to a manager and emailing a complaint I have received no discourse.
This has definitely put me off staying there in the future, along with being questioned on arriving back at the property after 11pm as their card reader to unlock the door does not work.
All in all, probably the worst service I have ever encountered at a hotel.
